The Native Lifeways and Development Program is a major, long-term initiative of Spirit of the Sun. The program focuses on Native American community and economic development, and its objectives are:
Preserve and promote American Indian cultures through economic empowerment and self-determination
Increase cooperation among American Indian nations for the cultural and economic advancement of all
Increase awareness of Native wisdom and its implications to modern societal problems
Spirit of the Sun aims to accomplish these program goals by:
Partnering with American Indian Nations and Peoples to advance current and future development programs
Integrating advanced technology with development planning to help ensure the achievement of community goals
Creating a sustainable commerce infrastructure to directly connect Indian Country with global economic markets and to connect and support native people, businesses, and nations
