This strike calls for people to refuse to go to school or to work in order to demand attention to the dire circumstances that we face as a result of global warming and other elements of climate change and environmental destruction. The youth of the world are standing up against transnational corporations and governments that refuse to take our environmental crisis seriously This event is for both youth and adults will include a march and rally, and will be followed by a full week of actions through Sept. 29th. Join us on Friday, Sept. 20th at the Denver Union Station at 11 am. We will then march up the 16th Street Mall to the State Capitol (arriving around 12:30-1pm). At the Capitol all will rally for an end to fossil fuels and a rapid transition to a 100% clean renewable energy future, with specific legislative, electoral and direct action strategies to be outlined.
